Inventory Management
In order to make certain you aren’t paying for services that you don’t have or may not need, we start by creating a baseline inventory of all telecom services.
Creating a record of all services for every facility can be an overwhelming task for most organizations, which is why it is seldom ever done. And, if an inventory does exist, it is often not consistently updated and grows increasingly inaccurate over time. In order to effectively audit each client invoice monthly, FocusONE first creates a detailed inventory of every communication product being billed and used. Inventory elements may be segmented by location, department, project, employee, or any other method of GL coding required to properly allocate monthly charges.
In addition, since most companies don’t know exactly what quantity or capacity of services are necessary to meet the needs of the business, FocusONE requests “traffic studies” from vendors to determine the optimal mix of services required, making certain there is neither a bottleneck from “not enough,” or wasted money from having “too much” capacity. These activities allow FocusONE clients to know, at all times, precisely what telecommunications products and services exist and are required, along with the expected charges for each, and they can be confident that the inventory is constantly updated as moves, adds, or changes occur.
